Apple CFO Hints to an iPhone 5 September Release

Record Profits for Apple at the End of Q3

Several days ago, the Cupertino-based company announced its financial results for the third quarter of the 2011 fiscal year, which ended on June 25th. During this quarter, Apple profits have increased by 125% and the company sold 20.34 million iPhone models. Thus, Apple exceeded analysts’ expectations, who predicted that only 16.5 million iPhones will be sold in Q3. The company also sold 9.25 million iPads and 3.95 million Macs.
Apple’s revenue for the quarter came to a total of $28.57 billion, with a net profit of $7.31 billion, which is double than what the company earned during the third quarter in 2010. International sales accounted for 62% of revenues this quarter.
During the conference call when these results were announced, Apple’s Chief Financial Officer, Peter Oppenheimer, said that one Apple product will go through an important transition by the end of September, and taking into account the impact that this transition will have, the company estimates the revenues for the fourth quarter to be 12% less than those of the third quarter.
Since Oppenheimer didn’t say anything else about the future product transformation, everyone thinks that he was talking about the much anticipated iPhone 5. With new products (newest generation MacBook Air, Mac Mini and OS X Lion) released this week, Apple can now focus its attention on the next generation iPhone.
While many of us expected to see a new iPhone 5 in June, new rumors claim that the delay in release is due to problems with an overheating A5 chip. Apparently, Apple can’t keep the processor at a low temperature in the tightiPhone 5 case.

iPhone 5 to Benefit from Improved Voice Command System

Recently, Apple filed a patent for an enhanced voice control system which will probably be implemented in the future iOS 5. This system would work by reducing the quantity of information users have to listen to when using their iPhones. Additionally, the system can get familiarized with a user’s preferences over time and deliver only the “tailored” information that he needs. This system, named “Adaptive Audio Feedback System and Method” would apply to alerts, menu navigation and prompts.
Since the purchase of Siri, a “personal assistant” for iPhone, who understands and answers voice commands like “Call me a taxi.” or “Where is the nearest Starbucks?”, Apple has been working hard to improve the voice control in its mobile gadgets. Some rumors say that the voice control will be “deeply integrated” in the next OS.
We can’t wait to see the alpha version of the iOS 5, but most of all, we can’t wait for the new iPhone 5 to be launched.

AT&T and T-Mobile Test the iPhone 5

Although the launch of the iPhone 5 is rumored to take place in September, it seems that AT&T and T-Mobile have already started testing the new smartphone from Apple. Beginning July 6th, a few iPhones were delivered to the two carriers’ testers, who have the mission to verify that the fifth generation iPhone is working properly and, if not, to report any issues back to Apple.

It is perfectly normal for Apple to have its mobile phones tested by carriers, but the beta testing usually happens shortly before the official release. For example, Verizon was able to test the CDMA iPhone 4 only two weeks before the smartphone’s official arrival on the network . Could this point to an earlier launch of the iPhone 5?
A job offering posted on a British website indicates to a sooner than September release as well. The offer specifies that Apple is looking to hire people for the iPhone sales team. The job will spread over two months (August 16th-October 29th), during which employees will have to work full-time on an interesting project that Apple is preparing to launch. This Ad started the rumors that the iPhone 5 will make its debut on August 16th, but most of the people believe that Apple will not launch the new iPhone next month, before the arrival of the iOS 5, which is scheduled for release in September.

iPhone 5 without Home Button?

One thing we know for sure when it comes to iPhone 5 is that it will run on Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 5. The third beta version of iOS 5 was recently released to developers, and besides bringing new security functions, personalized ringtones and the new notification center, it brings the “Assistive Touch” feature that seems to take the place of iPad and iPhone’s buttons.
This new touch panel allows users to control, directly from the gadget’s display, a series of functions that normally required the assistance of hardware buttons. Thus, the Home button, Mute button and the volume buttons become useless if “Assistive Touch” is enabled.
The options “Gestures”, “Device”, “Home” and “Favorites” are found in the Assistive Touch menu. The “Gestures” option will allow you to perform gestures using up to 5 fingers, tapping “Device” will open a menu that offers the following commands: Rotate Screen, Lock Screen, Volume Up, Volume Down and Shake, “Home” works just like the physical button “Home”, and “Favorites” will allow the users to save any customized gestures. The “Favorites” option will also allow access to the gestures “Swipe” and “Pinch”.
The implementation of “Assistive Touch” led users to believe that the future mobile devices, such as iPhone 5and iPad 3, will no longer have the “Home” or the volume buttons. Even though the new touch panel may seem more practical, and some might even consider that an iPhone, for example, will look more attractive without a “Home” button, many of the Apple’s customers don’t believe that the company will give up on any hardware buttons any time soon.

iPhone 5 delivers Shazam

Everybody knows that IPhone’s and music go hand in hand. The IPhone 5 will be no exception. If you could think of the iPhone 5 as a tool box for all your favorite music hits then Shazam would be a must have tool at your disposal. Shazam is available for your IPhone 5 as a free download through iTunes and there is also a paid version that adds the feature of synced lyrics as a song plays.

Shazam uses cutting edge song recognition technology in order to quickly and accurately determine want song is playing and who is singing it. Shazam was started in 2002 with the hope of creating access to information to music enthusiasts about their favorite songs and artists. By downloading the app an IPhone 5 user can easily identify what song is being played and by what artist. But the Shazam on the iPhone 5 can take it even a step further.

Now from the palm of your hand a user can identify the song, the album and artist. You can share the song to your fellow Facebook, Twitter, or Shazam friends. There is a link to ebay built in directly for each track that enables a fan to order merchandise of their favorite artists seamlessly transitioned from the Shazam app. The mega-fan will be amazed at the fact that they can also lookup locations of any current tours of the artist they just “Shazammed”. Links to other apps like Pandora, YouTube, and Amazon are also available through the free app version.  Users can “tag” a song and instantly gain access to a treasure of knowledge about the artist and their music

You ever hear “that song” on the radio and wish you owned it? But the fact that you have no idea who even sings the song kind of makes it difficult to march home and search it in iTunes. Shazam on your IPhone 5 will make it a simple snap of the finger and “Shazam”. Every bit of information you could ever want is right there in one app. Not only can you single handedly multiply your own music knowledge you can also share it with all of your social networking friends. They too can share with you so you can be sure that there isn’t a song out there that you will not have on your IPhone 5. Enjoy the free app that maximizes your music experience of your Iphone5.

Do you want to deck out your iPhone 5?

Bling is just as necessary to the phone’s owner as the cell itself.  Add multiple accessories to your iPhone 5.  Some are glitzy, while others are more practical; it’s all a matter of taste.
Much like you, your iPhone 5 demands a fashion identity. The perfect skin can provide just that!  The skin comes in a raft of styles from highly glamorous to heavy metal looks.  Skins are unable to provide adequate protection for the iPhone 5 and is more for visual attraction.
The skin still gives you complete access for all the buttons, ports and connectors.  You can buy skins to make your iPhone match your clothes or mood, giving you more variety.
Additionally you can add a wild skin after working out.  The most vital and easily damaged part of the iPhone 5 is its screen and the skin does nothing to protect it.  You’ll want to pick up a screen protector as well.  Even though it costs extra, a screen protector that protects your computer screen from dust and glare is well worth it.
Screen protectors also keep scratching from happening as badly.  Nearly all skins can go on top of the screen protector.  Another accessory you can buy is a skin with a screen protector.  Of course, you will want to have fancy iPhone 5 nearby.
The iPhone 5 holster is the perfect accessory for someone who doesn’t want to keep track of a purse.  TheiPhone 5 case or wallet travels well. Hook onto your belt loop, or hang it from your shoulder by its strap.
To maximize its life and maintain an attractive  external appearance, purchase the highest quality of leather case available to you.  Get bluetooth compatibility on the i-Phone 5 especially if you use it a lot while you travel in your car.
The station for docking. (or a couple) Good pump primers can be used to charge your iphone 5 battery.   For rapidly moving cell phone users, why not get a sport band to enable you to hold your iPhone to your arm while on the go so you don’t need to hold it while exercising.

Batter on the iPhone 5

For those who are considering the jump to the iPhone 5, what is holding you back?  There will always be a few glitches that arise as a result of the release of a new electronic product or program.  For most high volume users, the most common gripe will be the short amount of time the battery will last before needing a charge.
Nobody wishes to get an irritating signal as “low battery” in midst of an important phone call or text message.  Text messaging on your iphone is not as hard as the new phone you will get next.
Several lawsuits have been filed regarding the iPhone battery.  Users get upset when they discover that the iPhone battery is sealed and can not be changed.  The iPhone’s battery cannot be changed.
Swapping phone batteries is common, so iPhone owners feel a warning should be issued.  Nonetheless, keeping a recharging dock in more than one location (whether at home or in the workplace).  This is a way to get around the iPhone battery issue.
The iPhone 5 will probably have two options–the 6 GB version or the 8 GB model with greater memory.  Compared to what features come with an iPod, this what is a little small.  The 20gb model may cramp some users’ style, and there is currently no memory expansion option.
Apple vastly approved sites and is possible to download a high volume of files from pirate sites.  One can download films, television programs, music, pictures, and games, among other content.  Users complain that iPhones tend to download information too slowly.  Most iPhone users find delayed downloads to be infuriating, however if you plan ahead, you will be able to make it less frustrating by devising a schedule.
Cell phone users used to be few and far between.  When they are unhappy with the service of one provide, they will easily walk on to the next.
How will the search tools in the iPhone 5 work with all the features available on the device?  Will the browser have the option to automatically remember passwords?  The iPhone 5 is the best model, and all problems are addressed.

iPhone 5 rumors point to metal back and larger screen

The latest batch of leaked information from Apple’s Foxconn production plant indicates that the next iPhone might have a metal back and a larger screen along with the rest of its new bells and whistles, according to 9to5mac.
The glass back on the iPhone 4 became a bit of a pain point, striking up a micro-scandal that the media dubbed “glassgate.” Any case outside of Apple’s official iPhone 4 bumper could lead to scratching and full-on cracks in the phone’s glass back. The cases are prone to dust and other matter getting stuck between them and the iPhone 4’s glass back.
Introducing a metal back to the iPhone is in line with Apple’s design ethos — it fits with the company’s unibody Macbook Pros and other devices. A metal back would also kill Apple’s concerns with the white iPhone 4. Bad white iPhone 4 parts, including the paint for the device, caused issues with its proximity sensor due to light leakage, according to Apple’s Steve Wozniak.
But a metal back for the device would make it more difficult to transmit a radio signal through the rear of the phone. That means near-field communication (NFC), a short-wave radio form used to transmit information and execute mobile payments, probably wouldn’t make it into the next version of the iPhone. Indeed, sources from Apple already said that NFC would not make it into the next iPhone but could make it into later iterations.
Foxconn sources indicated that the next version of the iPhone would also have a larger screen that is closer to 4 inches long, according to 9to5mac. And, as per the usual with Apple devices, the new iPhone will sport a more powerful processor. The next iPhone will probably include Apple’s newest A5 chip, a 1 gigahertz dual-core processor that appears in the iPad 2. A metal back would open up some space for a larger battery because it would be thinner than the device’s glass back, as well.
The iPhone 4 was announced in June after tech news blog Gizmodo got its hands on the device well ahead of its scheduled announcement. Apple is well known for its tight security, and past product leaks have reportedly led to witch hunts and firings. So expect the consumer tech giant to keep the next device under wraps for as long as possible.

3 Reasons Why Apple is Holding Back iPhone 5’s Release

Many Apple fans hoped that the company’s CEO, Steve Jobs, would make them a surprise and introduce the fifth-generation iPhone at WWDC. Well, he did not. Moreover, Jobs did not even mention anything about a future iPhone 5 release which has made many draw the conclusion that no iPhone 5 will be launched in the summer of 2011.
But loyal Apple customers have not given up hope and are still refusing to buy Android smartphones or the iPhone 4. Their determination and loyalty is to be admired but somebody should remind them that iPhone 5’s release is everyone’s guess and some rumors even suggest the next iOS smartphone could hit the stores in 2012!
Several possible theories have emerged aiming at explaining why the Cupertino giant is holding back iPhone 5’s release.
One theory suggests that Apple has to delay iPhone’s 5 launch due to battery supply problems. Apple’s Japanese battery supplier is unable to ship lithium ion batteries following the earthquake from March. The downtime from the Japanese manufacturing facilities has taken its toll on all Apple’s products. Unfortunately, no clue is currently available as to when production might be resumed.
The second theory claims that the white version of the iPhone 4 has determined Apple to delay the launch of its fifth-generation smartphone. The iPhone 4 white generates good sales and the tech company may want to squeeze the milk out of this cash cow a bit longer.
The third theory states that the new iPhone will not be a revolutionary product at all, but an “evolutionary step”. Followers of this theory say that Apple’s smartphone will actually be called iPhone 4S and it could be launched in September, while the true iPhone 5 will only be launched in 2012.
Neither of these rumors, taken apart, doesn’t constitute a real reason for iPhone 5’s delay, but, taken as a whole, we can understand why Apple has skipped over its usually iOS + iPhone release. Until iPhone 5 will be released, Apple will have enough time to study the competitors, which are stronger day-by-day, and to further improve the product.

iPhone 5 Will Sell Great: 9 Reasons Why

A year after the launch of the iPhone 4, rumors have arose that, come September, Apple will be announcing (and releasing) another episode in this saga, the iPhone 5. Some go as far as saying that Apple has already hired a company to produce no less than 15 million units of the new model.
After the huge success of the iPhone 4 (selling 1.7 million units in the first three days, 3 million in the first month), there are plenty of reasons to suggest that the new version will be at least as successful. Here are some of them:

1. Accurate past production predictions

So far, Apple has proven to give almost dead-accurate predictions of first period sales for the iPhones. So, if we are to believe the rumor that they have already ordered 15 million 5s, this gives just a small measure of the sales they expect of the new model.

2. Using 4G

The same rumors hint that the iPhone 5 will use 4G, which will give better Web connectivity. Consequently, we may see a trend to change the then outdated 3G iPhone 4 with this latest version.

3. Anxious market

Previous iPhones have been released sometime in the summer. Not so, this time, as the new model will apparently be out in the beginning of autumn. Building pressure and anxiousness on the market will no doubt lead to high demand when the product is finally released.

4. Using AT&T growth

The mobile carrier AT&T is on its way to acquiring T-Mobile USA. This will bring the new iPhone within reach of tens of millions of more users. This will of course further help sales growth of the model.

5. Past success

Ever since its first release in 2007 and to date, the iPhone, irrespective of the model, has had a huge success and consequent massive sales. Taking this into consideration, a new and improved model should have sales going through the roof.

6. Using one of the best marketing in the business

One of Apple’s major advantages is of course its marketing strategies. A strong, mature company which knows exactly when and where to hit, what and how to say to slowly grow user interest, which of course is reflected in the sale numbers.

7. Loss of enterprise interest in the BlackBerry

Over time, the market has witnessed two contrasting tendencies, when it comes to enterprise use of mobile products. On the one hand, the iPhone has had a slow but steady growth in corporate sales. On the other hand, one of their biggest competitors, RIM, the producers of BlackBerry, have lost market share due to not-appealing design and ineffective sale strategies. If these tendencies continue, the new iPhone will definitely hit hard on the enterprise market.

8. Help from the iPad

The two most successful Apple products, the iPad and the iPhone have so far helped each other’s sales, since users of one become interested in the other. There is no reason to think that the iPad 2 will not follow the same trend and nudge iPhone 5 sales even further.

9. Good release date choice

Even though, as shown before, the new model will not follow the 12-month trend and will be released some time in September or October, this strategy has a subtle advantage in that user interest will not drop until the holiday season, which will of course greatly help sales.

New Apple iPhone 5 rumor is a 3D camera?

(CBS) - Time again for another round of Apple iPhone 5 rumors. The latest talk was inspired by a leaked photograph on the Chinese blog 175wan. International Business Times reported the rumor Monday morning. The photo shows a phone that looks exactly like the iPhone 4 with two cameras on the back.

Could this be a prototype of the iPhone 5?
There are a few clues that the leaked iPhone 5 in the photo may be a fake. Aside from the dual cameras, the alleged new version doesn't look updated. Also, the mobile device in question has "iPhone 5" marked on the back, but Apple does not usually note the mobile device's generation number in that location. The leaked photo doesn't reflect any other rumors that have been circulating.
Read the full list of iPhone 5 rumors at CNET
One fact that gives traction to the rumor is that Apple has filed for a patent related to 3D picture taking. AppleInsider reported in March that the Cupertino-based company submitted an application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office titled "Systems and Methods for an Imaging System Using Multiple Image Sensors." The patent can be summarized as combining several elements to create one three-dimensional image.
The computer giant, known for its cult-like following, changed the mobile phone landscape when it released the original iPhone in June of 2007. Since that time, wide speculation of the mobile device's updates has been part of the territory.

Suppliers Begin Preparing For iPhone 5; October Seems Most Likely

5 is coming

According to a recent report by Digitimes, suppliers in Apple’s iPhone supply-chain are preparing for a September announcement of the iPhone 5 and a October release of the smartphone to the consumer market. The report cites a number of discussions they’ve allegedly had with numerous parts of Apple’s iPhone supply-chain in Taiwan, and have come to the conclusion that theiPhone 5 will debut in September and go on sale in October.
The report also went on to dismiss rumors that the iPhone 5 would be released alongside a cheaper, more basic iPhone that many tech-industry analysts dubbed the ‘iPhone-mini’.
Apple is expecting to gradually crank up production of the iPhone 5 and is aiming to produce between 6-7 million iPhone 5 units in the third quarter.

Report: iPhone 5 Will Be Announced In September and Released To Market In October

Demand for the iPhone 4 is at an all time high, with shipments of the smartphone reaching a quarter of a million units and Apple hopes to gradually reduce the availability and production of the iPhone 4 for a smooth shift over to the iPhone 5.
The companies that were named in the report also included Dynapack; an industry leader in smartphone batteries, TPK Holding; a leader in touch panels, and the obvious Foxconn who has been assembling iPhones since their inception.
While a fifth-generation iPhone is inevitably coming within the next couple months, it is still unsure what the iPhone will be called. Will be it called the iPhone 5 like many are expecting, even though it features more internal upgrades like those that we saw in the shift from the iPhone 3G to the 3GS? Or will it appropriately be named the iPhone 4S?

July 9th – Apple Will Be Producing 25 Million iPhone 5 Units In 2011

As the launch of its next-generation iPhone handset nears, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is gearing up to ship a record amount of iPhones to close out the 2011 year with a bang.
Apple has been placing huge orders for the necessary components to make the next iPhone, and with the hype and media frenzy continuing to develop at full steam the product is expected to sell very well.
WSJ cited sources inside of Apple’s supply chain that the company is being very aggressive with its build strategies for the new iPhone, and has directed its manufacturers to expect orders totaling 25 million units over the coming months.
The report also rumored that the next iPhone will include new models of a wireless baseband chip developed by Qualcomm, which will be replacing the iPhone 4’s chips which were provided by Infineon. It’s been widely suspected that Apple will be moving to a “world phone” chipset with the next iPhone, enabling use on both GSM and CDMA networks across the globe and simplifying the number of models that Apple needs to develop. TheWSJ report didn’t provide any indication if this Qualcomm chip would be “world phone” capable.
If the report is accurate, then Apple’s large component orders would put the iPhone 5 on track to hit its rumored third-quarter release date. Apparently, suppliers have been quoted as planning to ship their final hardware to Foxconn no later than early August so that final assembly of the handsets can begin. Apple shipped more than 18 million iPhones in its last quarter, so a 25 million unit prediction would indicate that Cupertino expects the iPhone 5 to be a blockbuster.

iPhone 5 Coming Sooner Than Expected, Now Just A Month Away?

Rumors have been circulating for months now suggesting that we won't see the iPhone 5 until sometime in September. Now comes information in the way of a job posting that shows Apple is looking for an influx of temporary workers to help sell Apple's iPhone, right around when the iPhone 5 is expected to hit.
The job post, which flooded several regions at the same time, is looking for "Apple iPhone sales specialists" for temporary positions spanning just over two months:
"Our client, Apple, one of the largest consumer electronic hardware and software companies in the world are seeking full-time iPhone Sales Staff for an exciting project to work 5 days a week (Tuesday-Saturday) for the period 16th August - 29th October within key retail stores."
The post also adds that those who get the job will need to attend a four-day "training event" sometime in the second second week of August, which we are assuming is where they will get briefed about the iPhone 5 (and also likely when leaks may finally begin to appear).
More on this as it develops.

Why Was There No iPhone 5 This Summer?

After the somewhat disappointing WWDC 2011 where no new hardware was unveiled (although we were impressed by iOS 5), a big question was brought up. What exactly would have been the reason behind Apple breaking the iPhone tradition of summer releases which they have carried on since the first iPhone launched?

No iPhone 5 this summer: 3 reasons

At the time, reports suggested everything from battery supply issues due to the earthquake in Japan, and also the very near release of a Verizon iPhone 4 and white iPhone 4 models.
Now Sohu.com has another:
According to BGR who cites the source, "Apple may have delayed the iPhone 5 launch until next year due to an overheating dual-core A5 chip", and that "Apple will instead launch the iPhone 5 later this year or early next when the A6 chip is available - or after it figures out the A5 overheating problems." The source also adds that a “iPhone 4S” device, with the same form factor as the iPhone 4, will launch alongside the iPhone 5. It will pack a dual-core processor and 8-megapixel camera.
Given that the iPhone 5 is going to sell in the millions when it launches, Apple will need to make sure it has a solid supply of non-faulty processors at hand. Furthermore we would expect an unforeseen event such as a manufacturing defect to be the kind of reason where Apple would actually deviate from their predictable June releases of new iPhones (iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS and 4).
More on this as it develops.

Cubed iPhone 5 With Edge-To-Edge Screen & LED Notification

The iPhone 5 is speculated to launch around fall this and rumors put it as a minor redesign with some hardware upgrades. We're talking about an edge-to-edge display, 8-megapixel camera, A5 dual core processors and even possibly a different material instead of glass for the rear shell.

Concept iPhone 5 pictures

However just like every iPhone before this, we're not going to be able to see this or confirm it until Apple wants us to. Sure, the iPhone 4 managed to be leaked ahead of its release after it showed up on a bar floor but we doubt Apple is going to make such a mistake again.
So what would the iPhone 5 look like based on all these speculations? Kazi Shahriar Ahmed shows us with this elegantly designed concept iPhone 5 pictures. Taking into account the edge-to-edge display and the possibility that Apple may use different materials, Kazi shows us what he would envision the iPhone 5 would look like. And following how the iPhone 4 is a lot more cube shaped than the curvy iPhone 3GS, we see the concept iPhone 5 pictures taking it to another whole level which even has the physical home button being a perfect square.
Despite it taking on a more HTC form factor (HTC HD2, Thunderbolt, Evo 4G) we have to say that we like the minimalist look of it. And the notification LEDs are a nice touch no doubt.

iPhone 5 release date?

is it true?!

iPhone 5: thinner, faster, stronger, trickier to build?

As the suspected iPhone 5 launch date of September draws ever closer, the rumours are flying thick and fast about what we should expect; the latest pegging it as thinner, lighter and more difficult to assemble than the iPhone 4.
The first tips come courtesy of theWSJ, which offers the groundbreaking suggestion that the new iPhone will be thinner and lighter, and come with an 8MP camera.
It's not the first time we've heard talk of an 8MP camera on the next iPhone – arecent analyst note and sources cited just before WWDC also tipped the same.
Fantastic Mr Foxconn
Meanwhile, over at Apple's assembly plant, Hon Hai, they're having a bit of trouble putting the darn thing together, with a source complaining that it is "complicated and difficult to assemble".
This fiddly process could mean that shipments of the iPhone 5 could be delayed, leading to possible stock shortages.
WSJ's Foxconn source added that, "Apple's sales estimates of the new iPhone is quite aggressive. It told us to prepare to help the company meet its goal of 25 million units by the end of the year."
The source also went on to add that "we were told to ship the components to assembler Hon Hai in August" – suggesting that the September release date that's been put forward by many is just about spot on.

iPhone 5 Gets Dual LED Flash, Samsung to Launch New Android Rival Phone

According to “9 to 5 Mac”, the iPhone 5 has entered the final testing stage, the “AP” stage, as they call it. It looks like the next generation will, after all, be launched this Fall, probably in September, as it is currently being tested by Apple managers and cell phone carriers around the world. Yes, you read right, 3 months from now, when Apple usually holds a conference for new iPod models.
The not so good news is that, by looking into the iOS 5 files, it was discovered that the new iPhone model will feature the same iPhone 4 camera, the 5 MP. This is not certain, so we can still hope for an 8 MP camera. Files from the iOS 5 called “N93″ and “N94″ have surfaced and it appears that the “N93″ is for a model with a 5 megapixel camera and the “N94″ is an iPhone 4 or 5 equipped with the powerful A5 processor that we were talking about in a previous article. It is still uncertain which phones these files relate to. It may very well be possible that the “N94″ is related to the new iPhone 5 and it will feature an 8 megapixel camera, as well as the A5 processor, after all.

In another iPhone 5 news, since it is ultimately up to the carriers if they want to support FaceTime calls(supported by iOS 5), it looks like Apple and Verizon have not reached an agreement in regards to enabling FaceTime on Verizon’s EV-DO 3G network.
Rumors saying that the new iPhone will be a “global phone” are spreading around online. According to Macotakara, a Japanese blog, the 5th generation device will have a SIM card slot “for countries except United States”. A new antenna that supports 802.11n connections could be included.
Apple likes to keep us guessing and, while some say the iPhone 5 will be a new technological wonder, others think it won’t be much different from the current generation. While we all wait for the big release, make sure to check our blog often, as we try to bring you the latest here and on Facebook.
